1986
The following year saw the introduction of more European exclusive
ponies. Confetti was re-released following her immense success in
1985 and of course the popular Baby Pony Stroller was reissued too, after a definite makeover.

Snowflake = dk.pink w/white m&t, glittery silver snowflakes
Hopscotch = pale blue w/dk.purple m&t, pink hopscotch game.
Honeycomb = white w/fl.yellow, four bees.
Gypsy = all burnt orange, tambourines.

Another set of ponies introduced in 1986-7 were the UK's very own 'original' ponies.  There were four of them in total, Gypsy, Snowflake, Honeycomb, and Hopscotch, and of the four Gypsy was to become the hardest to find and most sought after. She was another UK enigma, being that she is the only one of the unicorns sold before 1987 WORLDWIDE which does not have a different streak of colour in her mane. She also has white freckles on each cheek, as does Snowflake. Snowflake too is a pony who failed to follow the traditions set down by those established in the USA because she is the only earth pony of her time to have a glittery symbol.
Hopscotch and Honeycomb both followed the conventions but Honeycomb is worth noting for her remarkable similarity to Surprise, the only notable differences being the symbol & the fact she does not have curly hair. Oddly, in the UK Factfile, she is pictured as a unicorn but as can be seen by the picture she is a pegasus.

Baby Lemon Drop = pale yellow w/purple m&t, droplets
Baby Lemon Drop's Stroller
This year brought the second of the two UK baby ponies to be issued with the Baby Pony Stroller. Now in purple, the stroller came with a new baby
pony, Baby Lemon Drop, who also stood in Ember's pose.
She was also issued in Germany and other parts of Europe without her
stroller, and in Baby Blossom's pose, and there have also been
sightings of a BBE version.

Whilst the USA were being introduced to the concept of
Beddy Bye Eye Babies, the UK had four of the same baby ponies
created in ordinary baby form. Out of the six BBE babies, the
existance of only four can be confirmed. These were Baby Gusty,
Baby Heart Throb, Baby Lickety Split and Baby Ribbon, and
each came with the variety of accessories given to the BBE ponies in the
United States. None are common second hand. Despite being regular baby ponies
three of them had undeniable characteristics that indicated that their mother
was a So-Soft Pony. Babies Gusty and Ribbon each did not have the
classic glittery unicorn symbol, instead it was painted on, like So-Soft
Gusty & Ribbon. Baby Heart Throb's symbol is simply three
wingless stars, and only So-Soft Heart Throb's symbol mirrors this
design. Baby Lickety Split, being that she was sold in Baby Blossom's
pose hadd the characteristic early ponies in that mould all had -
three white freckles on her nose. Note that adult Lickety Split did not have
 freckles in any form.

In the USA, Megan and Sundance were issued over and over again in different styles, depending on the time in which they were available. However, here in the UK, there was only one type of Megan and Sundance - the original pair. Wheras in the USA they were issued in a unique outfit originally in the UK they were issued wearing one of the  pony outfit sets designed for them.(see first picture)
The second issue featured no cape at all for Sundance, and for Megan an exclusive outfit with pink striped trousers and a wrap around skirt with a bow design.
