This is the club certificate for 1987 (click on image to view in more
detail). Majesty, in the foreground was the pony in charge of the club,
all the letters tended to be answered in the newsletter by her or Spike.
Notice the UK ponies in the foreground! |

Now the ponies shown on the front are no longer ponies included in the
Fact File of the year before. Again, Majesty is still pictured - no matter
how the ponies progressed around her she was always the same pony. |

In 1989, The My Little Pony Club issued their first baby pony, a pure
white (despite advertising illustrations showing her with red hair) newborn
baby with no symbol and no name. Members were provided with an adoption
certificate and asked to name their little pony. There was even a poll
to find the most popular names. I named my baby Beauty, and this is the
one you can see pictured above. Click on the ads and certificate of Adoption
to view in more detail. |
Although I wasn't a member after 1989, I remember well the adverts
in the pony comic for the next few years. This is the advert for Baby Bridesmaid,
the second club newborn issued in 1990. Notice the borders of the advert
- the pony packaging in the UK of this period was in a similar style.

Baby Fun & Games was the Club Newborn for 1991 and she was advertised
by a flier put in pony packages during the late stages of 1990. Click on

Very little is known about this
newborn, but it is believed that she was the last club newborn, named Baby
Valentine and available before termination, in 1992. Another theory suggests
that she was a promotional baby and that her name was Baby Ribbons and
Hearts. My own version came via Partners Stationary Store in an unmarked
bag in 1992..

for the information regarding this newborn*** |
